Petition for The Dude Designs to Create the DJANGO UNCHAINED Poster Art

We have a monumental opportunity to have our voices heard in Hollywood. Most genre fans are familiar with the work of Thomas Hodge, proprietor of The Dude Designs. He is the artist behind the infamous HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, FATHER’S DAY, THE INNKEEPERS, and DEAR GOD NO! posters.

Tarantino’s upcoming flick, DJANGO UNCHAINED needs a Dude Designs poster. And we are going to try to make sure this film gets it. Please sign the petition below and tell all of your friends on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, and in line at McDonald’s to sign this petition and show Hollywood that we care about our one-sheets!

We want a "Dude Design" for DJANGO UNCHAINED

Hello there,

As a fan of Quentin Tarantino's work and the resurgence of grindhouse-style cinema, I respectfully request an authentic movie poster for DJANGO UNCHAINED as opposed to the typical, photoshopped fare.

Tom Hodge of The Dude Designs (http://thedudedesigns.blogspot.com/) has worked tirelessly on creating memorable and award-winning poster art for films like HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, FATHER'S DAY, and SAVAGE STREETS among so many others. The pairing of Mr. Hodge and Mr. Tarantino's work is the next logical step. A step that we as fans desperately want to see come to pass.

Though mainstream Hollywood appreciates the value of a great one-sheet, they seem to be missing the fact that classic-style hand crafted artwork like Mr. Hodge offers is making comeback. I am sending this email to you right now to confirm that there is a loyal fanbase hungry for Mr. Hodge's artwork on a bigger stage.

Thank you for hearing my voice, and thank you for considering The Dude Designs, and thank you for helping *real* grindhouse box and poster art get back into the cinema.

Dear God No. Tarantino has lost it if he ever had it. His ham fisted hackneyed slop is not good enough for The Dude Designs. He is played out and does not deserve to be in the ranks of Father’s Day, Hobo with a Shotgun and Dear God No! To call his refried fecal matter masquerading as scripts grindhouse is a damn insult.

    DON’T DO IT!
